Бакарак - шестикратный обладатель премии "Грэмми" и трехкратный обладатель премии "Оскар", его песни были записаны более чем 1000 различными артистами. По состоянию на 2014 год он написал 73 американских и 52 британских хита из Top 40. Он считается одним из самых важных композиторов популярной музыки 20-го века.
